Home for the holidays...aaand exciting news

So I have made it home safe to Florida and had a lovely Thanksgiving with my family. Things have been so incredibly busy since I arrived that I don't even remember what it feels like not be exhausted!
I am still not fully unpacked!!!

Anyway, I went through a box of old family photos the other day and thought I would share a couple with you :)
This one is of my Da and me. I still remember that banana he won for me at the fair!

This one is of my Mama and me on a beach in Hawaii. (Please forgive the speedo photobomb ;))

Oh you know...just me sweaty and confused after too much chocolate.
Not much has changed in twenty years...

OooOoh also I have some exciting news! My dad is going to Ireland on a business trip next week and I am going with him! It was all very last minute and I know it was a totally impulsive decision, but I bought my plane ticket today so there's no going back ;) unfortunately I am now totally broke haha. Worth it.

We will be staying in Belfast, but I really don't know much about the area or where to go or what to see! I hope I have some time to pick up a couple of guide books before I leave...

Until next time <3

Wheee! I have finally started a blog! Fingers crossed I keep it up...I am not the best with blogs or even journals for that matter. But I shall try! Who knows, perhaps it will be therapeutic ;)

Oh boy, where do I begin. I am moving back home to Florida on Thanksgiving (cheapest plane ticket har har) for a couple of months to help out my family with a few things. I really don't mind the change as I have been feeling a bit burnt out in NYC. It will be nice to have a change of pace and see my parents puppies!

So. I have been working my bum off packing all day. Whew...trying to fit all of my Etsy supplies and some vital things like clothings, shoes, toothbrush, etc in three suitcases has been an arduous task! But I am 99% finished and it's all looking good. (I am majorly exhausted and in a semi coma on the couch right now ha.)

OH, also. I cut my hair! You can see in the picture that it's still long-ish, but so much easier to deal with!

Tomorrow will be my last day in the big city for a while so my friends and I are getting together to roam around and go sightseeing. After that we are going to cook a mini Thanksgiving dinner together...although I still don't know what to cook?? Whaaat? I am usually really on the ball with recipes and all, but needless to say with the move and all I have been ever so slightly preoccupied.

Well I am going to try my best right now to peel myself off the couch and finish up packing! I hope you all have a Happy Thanksgiving!

xoxo,
April
